Servolution: Love In Action
Here’s a quick overview of what happened at Servolution 2009:
- Over 1300 volunteers serving
- Over 120 projects
- 500 Food baskets given away
- 117 went through Health Screening
- 300 visited resource fair
- 73 haircuts
- 1800 hot dogs
- 70 people gave blood
- Approx 15,000 man hours of labor
What is Servolution?
Imagine a community lifted by "Love in Action." Imagine serving and glorifying God by serving people in our community - blotting out blight one block at a time, sharing time with a lonely senior, collecting canned food for the hungry, helping with handyman chores. This was the inspiration for Servolution! On the day of “Servolution” an army of volunteers will go out into the community, serving real people one on one; inspiring, leading, loving; doing God’s will one person, one home, one block at time.
