“Thank you! This day of service has been spectacular! It was a wonderful feeling to be able to help some older people that couldn’t do some of their outside sprinkler care. The gratitude was evident and the hugs spoke volumes. It always seems a daunting task to just see a need and take the steps to do if for someone. The organized effort makes it SO very easy to serve those that can truly use it.”
“This was an outstanding opportunity to reach people and make a tremendous difference for the Lord. We met and prayed with dozens in convalescent homes and so many of the patients were overjoyed with our visit and participation in their arts and crafts project. It was a great blessing to all concerned.”
“I think this was the best event since we cut the ribbon on the church! Thank the Lord for the great crews and leaders!”
“We did two projects:
We did some yard work at the home of a single mom - weeding, planting, mowing, etc… We also moved a pile of rocks.
2) We washed windows and cleaned out gutters at a group home.
We enjoyed serving right here in Turlock, as many times our efforts are focused elsewhere in the country and the world.”
“Servolution has really been amazing! All of the plans and preparation and excitement seems to really have paid off. I feel so blessed to be part of it and give back our talents and energy in God’s name. The people we helped today let me know their appreciation through their smiles and their words.”
“It was an awesome day! I want to thank god and my church family here at NLCC for the opportunity to share the love of God to people in our communities. We can make a difference in this world with God working through us. I would love to see this become an even bigger event next year and the years to come.”
“This was such an amazing day! The project we worked on was tough work, but with God’s hands we all worked hard and did what we wanted to get done. Thank you to all who made this happen!”
“What a tremendous gift! I stepped into this day feeling somewhat overwhelmed with my work responsibilities (ok and a little tired - 7 AM BAH!) and I’m ending it with the knowledge that God is unbelievably amazing (like we didn’t already know).”
‘I had a great time fellowshipping with other believers from NLCC and the women that I got to meet and be blessed by on our team #20 at the “Chosen Girls” house and “Noah’s Ark.” I had no idea of the need that I saw or the opportunity to minister. Thanks for this opportunity.”
“My team went to Teen Challnge on Faith Home Road where we jumped right in and finished painting a fence. My kids learned to serve and I was very proud to be a part of Servolution. Can’t wait for next year!”
“This was really great and I can’t wait till the next time we do this again!”
“Throwing aside the fear of being repetitive, the experience I had today was too amazing to form into words, as many church experiences can be. The whole thing was invigorating - doing God’s work in the community and physically knowing that I can make a difference as easily as cleaning a window or sweeping a patio. I am sure I will never forget the great memories with great friends forming a great family.”
“I was part of a team that went visiting at a couple of nursing homes as part of Servolution. The experience was something I will never forget. I enjoyed meeting the elderly men and women and hearing some of their stories. It was so special to see their faces light up at the smallest gesture of giving a flower or time to hear them share. It was also at the same time heartbreaking to feel the hurt, anxiety, and fear that some of these men and women were going through. I felt privileged to be present to pray with one of them and to just be there. It was an absolutely remarkable experience!”
“Servolution has been a wonderful experience! When first contacted, our elderly couple had a negative attitude about accepting help to clean the gutters around their home. We had the opportunity to share with them what has happened today. After having a time of prayer with them, there were tears of joy and appreciation for what was done.”
“We cleaned windows for two elderly ladies. They were so sweet and appreciative. It makes you feel so good that you can help others. I don’t know why we don’t do it more often. I thoroughly enjoyed today! If we do this again, I will be glad to help out.”
“Very worthwhile project and I’m delighted to be a part of it. Thank you!”
“I had no idea what to expect and that’s what I told the youth group heading to my Adult Residential Facility. It all came together; we washed windows, cleaned gutters, walked some guys in their wheelchairs, walked the neighbor’s dog, sang, and even did the hokey pokey! 4 times! What a day! Their hearts were touched and they will re-live the experience.”
